The Headspace Collective and Chosen By The Funk Present: Gratitude 4 The Common Folk - A Funky Family Picnic

The Headspace Collective are great friends of mine. They are a 4 person crew that put on cool events and they helped out immensely with putting on Deep Purple - our Prince tribute back in April at First Avenue. We have joined forces (although to be fair, the credit for making this happen goes entirely to them, they just asked me to throw in with them) to put on a cute little free event in a beautiful new spot in Minneapolis.

A FREE picnic party in Minneapolis' newest park - The Commons outside US Bank Stadium. This park was meant for the people, but so far it has been mostly a playground for billionaires.

Create the space, long lost in physical reality. Together we gather, to meet, eat, and dance.

2017 has been most kind to us. The hits keep on coming, Moodymann at First Avenue, Domeland at Even Furthur to name a few. There are more on the way. We would like to say thank you to all of you who have taken part in these events, whether it be helping put it on or just showing up, we are grateful for your contribution. Please join us as we show our gratitude with a funky family picnic!

We have room for a few crock pots, but we can't have grills. Please bring something to share. Beverages, sides, deserts will work. Post what you plan to bring in the comments below.

We are thrilled to say that this event is free, however there are costs associated with obtaining the permits necessary for the event as well as providing some food/picnic supplies, and we hope to pay our DJs as well.
