My name is Bobby Kahn. I was born in Minneapolis and have lived here my entire life. I am a writer, event promoter, performance artist, community organizer, cable access television show producer, dance class instructor, and accountant. I have a degree from the University of Minnesota in accounting and finance, as well as an inactive CPA license. I am entirely self-taught as an artist. 

I am on a mission to keep Minneapolis funky in a post-Prince world. I want to invest in the future of the Minneapolis Sound, and cultivate local, funky artists by offering them support through writing and giving them opportunities to perform. I want the world to know, that even without Prince, the Minneapolis Sound isn't going anywhere. I want to bring people together to celebrate our musical heritage. I believe this is what I was put on the planet to do. I was born a month before Purple Rain came out - I didn't really have much of a choice in the matter.
